Outfit Your Children with School Uniforms from Land's End!

Uniforms can be ordered for Cayman International School students on-line at http://www.landsend.com/school.

Please read the following instructions carefully.

To order, simply visit the Lands End website, above, then follow these simple steps;

1. Choose the category (Uniforms for Girls or Uniforms for Boys) and click on the appropriate size range.

2. Choose a product category (tops, bottoms, etc).

3. Select the item, size and color you would like (using the approved list below as your guide).

4. Enter the preferred school number in the box that appears after the item is ordered. The preferred school number is 900038092.

5. Our logo information will appear. All uniform polo shirts, oxford shirts and T-shirts must be ordered with the logo.

6. Click “Add to shopping Bag.”

7. On the “Shopping Bag” page, click “Keep shopping” to order more items, or “Proceed to Checkout” to complete your purchase.

Please note that some of the shorts, skorts, skirts and pants come in slim, plus and husky sizes and the item #’s will differ slightly if you order those sizes. Please note that these styles and this color of shorts, skorts, skirts and pants are the only ones which will be acceptable as part of the CIS school uniform. Some parents of students in Grades PreK4 and below may not be able to find sizes small enough to fit their child on the Lands’ End web-site. If this is applicable to you, please purchase shirts, shorts and skorts as close to the styles and colors as those from Lands’ End. CIS logos can be stitched to shirts locally at Island Embroidery near the Foster’s Airport branch, if you do not order yours through Lands’ End. Island Embroidery also have a selection of polo shirts in stock if you are having problems ordering polo shirts through Lands’ End.

PE uniforms (shirts and shorts) are required for PE for students in Kindergarten and above. For students in Grade 6 and above, PE uniforms can only be worn during PE. These students will change into their PE uniforms for PE and back into their regular uniforms afterwards.

For Nursery students, uniforms are not required. Some parents do choose to purchase uniform shirts for Nursery students, but they are not mandatory.

If you are charged duty on uniforms arriving on island, please submit your receipts to the school office and re-imbursement will be claimed on your behalf, from HM Customs. Please be aware that this process usually takes several months. Re-imbursements are paid directly to your child’s tuition account.

Unfortunately Lands’ End does not offer any hat options, so hats will continue to be ordered through the school. CIS Hats will continue to be part of the required dress code for students in Grades PreK3 through Grade 3. We are pleased to announce that a new style and brand of hat will be available for purchase for next school year. The hats are made by Coolibar and come in a bucket style, with a broad 3” brim. Due to the increased amount of outdoor activities and facilities at CIS all students at CIS will be required to wear a hat when they are outside starting in September 2008. For Grades 4 and 5 an alternative to the wide brim/bucket hat will be available, also from Coolibar. It is an All Sports Hat, with a 3” visor and neck drape. Both hats are made of a lightweight SUNTECT fabric. The existing style of hats will still be accepted as uniform hats. More details of the new style hats will follow shortly. CIS Baseball caps, or any of the other available styles must be worn by students in Grade 6 and above.

To summarize;

PreK3 through Grade 3 – old-style bucket hat or new Coolibar wide brim hat

Grade 4 and 5 – old-style bucket hat, new Coolibar wide brim hat or Coolibar All Sports Hat

Grade 6 through 12 – CIS baseball cap or any of the other CIS hat choices detailed above

Nursery students must wear a hat when playing outside. You may order CIS hats if you wish, or wear a hat of your own choice.

Order forms for the new hats will be sent out shortly.

Uniform swimwear for students in Grades 1 through 12 will be introduced for the 2008/09 school year. More details to follow soon. Younger students will be able to order uniform swimwear if they wish.

Shoes must be closed in – trainers or shoes. Flip-flops and crocs present personal hygiene and safety concerns. Please do not send students to school in either of these types of footwear. Students in Kindergarten and above will be required to wear dark shoes a few times a year for special occasions.

Please be aware that no uniform items, except for hats and swimwear, are available for order or purchase through the school.
