CIS Highlights

CIS is continually engaged in the project of re-imagining learning to better meet the needs of this generation. Our school is designed to help children create the future they want -- to set important goals and develop everything they need to achieve them. To realize these aims, we embrace a few simple truths...
Community service/service learning at CIS has many parts, but just one goal: to build a caring community at our school. Children are taught very early here to look out for one another and to care about the world in which we live. As they get older, CIS students are given opportunities to participate in community activities that stretch their understanding about the world and about each other.
Students engage in visual arts, performing arts, and art through technology. Throughout the school year, a variety of concerts, plays and art shows are put on for the school community to see how talented our students are and to enjoy the beauty of these talents. Students from Nursery all the way to grade 12 have the opportunity to fully indulge in the arts through areas such as singing, drawing, playing instruments, acting, painting, photography, and so much more.
Cayman International School strives to provide opportunities for all of our students to participate in extracurricular athletics regardless of skill level or prior exposure to sports.
The Early Childhood Program at Cayman International School is committed to the whole child by providing learning activities that are developmentally appropriate in a stimulating, challenging and creative environment.
The Elementary School at CIS encompasses Kindergarten through Grade 5. The students in these grades are grouped together for academic and social purposes.
The Middle School at CIS encompasses grades 6, 7, and 8. The students in these grades are grouped together for academic and social purposes. Teachers work collaboratively to provide a smooth transition process from elementary to middle school and from middle school to high school.
