CIS Student Participates in Global Robotics Competition

Over the summer, eleventh-grader, Joe Allom-Perez and two other local students participated in FIRST Global Challenge 2018, a robotics competition held in Mexico City. The team did amazingly and ranked 23rd out of more than 160 teams in terms of points earned and 101st in terms of the number of matches won.

In recognition of their achievements, the team was invited to present at this year's STEM Carib Conference which took place at UCCI. The presentation was very well attended (standing room only!) by high school students from across the island, including CIS students accompanied by our Robotics teacher, Mr. Jeff. The highlight was students having the chance to operate the robot itself at the end of the presentation. We are so proud of all of our Robotics students for their awesome achievements! If you would like more information about our Robotics program, please contact Mr. Jeff.
