Sea Perch Robotics Club Kicks Off

The Sea Perch Robotics Club has kicked off this year and we are excited to be part of another year of designing and building underwater ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicles) to take part in the Cayman competition March 3rd starting at 9 am here at our own CIS pool. The winner of this event will get a free locally sponsored trip to the National Championships in Atlanta where students will compete against other winners from teams across the United States and the World.

SeaPerch is an innovative underwater robotics program that aims to get students interested in STEM science activities through the use of hands on building and designing challenges. We are excited to have this program running here at CIS for the second straight year.

Mr. Bryan Lipscombe and Mr. Jeff Szeryk are the coordinators of this year's teams and if your son or daughter is interested in joining the group have them contact Mr. Bryan or Mr. Jeff. Visit the official SeaPerch website if you would like more information. We look forward to an exciting and innovating year of Sea Perch Underwater Robotics.
