Throughout High School, Ava has been a member of Model United Nations, the planning team, as well as a gold honor roll student. She has also been a member of the National Honor Society where she has participated in beach clean ups, Alex Panton Youth Ambassador, led the book drive and George Town primary tutoring. Ava was awarded the Pursuit of Excellence Award and the Dodie Ebanks Humanitarian Award in 2019. She has also received Citizenship  and Leadership awards throughout High School. Outside of CIS, Ava has assisted in Acts of Random Kindness Casa Projects and been an assistant coach for the Cayman Islands Sailing Club. Ava is passionate about road safety and has met with developers to discuss sustainable transportation and is a proactive member in her athletic club. Ava competes and represents the Cayman Islands and her clubs in both sailing and running, and was one of the female U20 captains for Team Cayman in the 2019 Carifta Games. Ava was awarded Female Athlete of the Year, Coach’s Award and CNB Athlete of the Week.  Ava plans to compete for Jacksonville University in sailing, cross country and track where she will also be studying sustainability.
