Simon Fraser University in Canada

Thanks to being a member of the National Honors Society since grade 10, Ellen has been able to work closely with many different organizations. Working with Plastic Free Cayman, Ellen attended many different beach cleanups and assisted with many other events held by the organization. Ellen was also a member of the Alex Panton Youth Ambassador Program and attended their meetings every Sunday since its creation in mid 2019. Ellen also helped create her school's GSA in 2018 and was an active member. Ellen also volunteered with the National Art Gallery and has been helping peer tutor students at CIS since grade 9. Ellen also helped create a student newsletter for CIS secondary students to help encourage her peers to participate in service work as well. Ellen has received an award for her English skills in grade 8 for best in middle school, and an award for character in 10th grade. Next year, Ellen hopes to pursue an education in interactive art and technology at Simon Fraser University.
