Activities and Clubs

Cayman International School offers a wide variety of extra curricular activities for its students. There are three different activity sessions during the year. Although activities may change from one session to another, they usually include offerings that will enhance academic programs and utilize the wonderful outdoor sports facilities on our campus.

A list of activities is sent home before each session begins. The After School Activities program at CIS caters to students who are enrolled in the elementary or secondary school. PreK 3 and PreK 4 students have an opportunity to participate in the school’s swim club and performing arts program. Students in elementary, middle, and high school are highly encouraged to participate and to commit to an after school activity each session. Activities are generally sponsored and supervised by members of the CIS faculty/staff. In some instances, a faculty member may be assisted by a secondary student. Depending on the nature of the activity, there may be a fee charged for lessons or materials (i.e. swimming, scuba, and tennis lessons; scrapbooking supplies; cooking ingredients, etc.).

2019-2020 Activities

The following after school activities are for the 2019-2020 school year and are subject to change year-to-year. The Director of Athletics & Activities contacts all families directly to sign up for their desired sport and/or club at the beginning of each school year.

CIS Time Activities

Why CIS Time?

Connect. Inspire. Serve. CIS is always looking for creative and meaningful ways to live our mission. In the secondary, one such way is through the scheduling of flexible, non-traditional learning time every Wednesday afternoon. We call this time CIS Time. As such, the goal is to offer time and space for teachers to connect with each other in order to be more responsive to the individual and group needs of students; to inspire students by offering hands-on and non-traditional learning opportunities in real world contexts; to build service learning opportunities that help make our community and world a better place.
